This original issued helmet band is from the Vietnam War-era. Unlike later versions, this band does not feature cat eyes, making it a distinctive example of the period.
This particular band is marked with the last name “POLOSO”, a common practice among soldiers to identify personal gear. While it originally carried the “Band, Helmet, Camouflage U.S.” stamp, the marking has faded and is no longer legible due to wear over time.
