This original helmet band, stamped “Band, Helmet, Camouflage U.S.”, appears to be an earlier production from the 1950s, predating the more standardized Vietnam War-era versions. It features slightly darker webbing with a distinct texture, differing from the typical Vietnam War issue.
The stamp is lightly struck but legible, indicating a minor production variation. Despite its age, this band remains New Old Stock (NOS) and unused, showing no signs of prior issue or wear.
Designed to secure a helmet cover in place, this elastic band was standard issue for U.S. forces and remains in excellent condition with only minor storage wear.
