Original Vietnam War Era M1 Helmet (No Chinstrap)
This is a solid M1 helmet shell, manufactured by Ingersoll and stamped 1-0255, with excellent original paint and texture. There are a few light cracks in the rear, which are not significant—these are a common result of residual stress from the stamping process during production. While unfortunate, this is not uncommon for M1 helmets, and the standard-issue Mitchell cover often concealed minor imperfections like these.
Overall, this is an excellent helmet ready for restoration. Just add chinstraps (available in our store) and complete your authentic Vietnam War impression today!
