This original issued helmet band, stamped “Band, Helmet, Camouflage U.S.”, is a Vietnam War-era example. Unlike later versions, this band does not feature cat eyes, making it distinctive of the period.
Designed to secure a helmet cover in place, this elastic band was standard issue for U.S. forces during the Vietnam War. It shows signs of use and service wear but remains in good functional condition.
