Introducing an original M1 helmet liner from the Vietnam War era, dated 1967 and crafted by Marmac. Despite its age, the liner body and webbing remain in excellent condition. The metal components remain solid and functioning as intended, albeit showing some verdigris from time and storage. The exterior paint displays signs of wear and flakiness, a common issue with these liners, adding to its authenticity and serving as a testament to its storied history.
Resisting the urge to restore the paint, I chose to honor its originality instead, adhering to the timeless adage, "They're only original once." This helmet liner is perfect for any collector, whether just starting out or seasoned, adding authenticity to a helmet build that showcases light field use or enhancing a reenactment impression. Please note that the headband and neckband are not included but can be purchased separately.
