Early WWII M1 Helmet Liner - Inland Infantry Style
If you are seeking a uniquely early war helmet liner, this one may end your search.
This M1 helmet liner features HBT webbing with snaps for the rayon headband and a fixed leather chinstrap. For this build, we've carefully rebuilt this 50's Capac/Westinghouse liner to replicate an early WWII Inland infantry liner. Please note, the rayon headband and neckband are not included, but our hbt double wire headband and neckband are available for purchase if needed.
Ideal for reenactors or collectors, this rare liner variation complements a fixed bail helmet. This is a one-off item, so we do not have another like it. Extensive restorative work was done, including reworking rivet holes and filling a puncture at the back of the liner body. While the liner shows signs of its previous damage, the restoration was thorough, and it now functions as intended.
This unique M1 helmet liner combines historical authenticity with careful restoration, making it a standout piece for any collection or reenactment. Whether you’re looking to complete a period-correct setup or add a rare variation to your display, this liner offers both character and functionality.
