Steel Helmets & Helmet Liners – FAQs
Can I choose the helmet and liner manufacturer?
Unfortunately, no. While we’d love to offer that level of customization, maintaining inventory from every WWII manufacturer is not feasible. Each restored helmet is assembled using available stock that meets our quality standards.
Are all your liners from the WWII era?
Not exclusively. We also use select postwar liners that share the same shape, size, and structure as their wartime counterparts — making them fully compatible and visually accurate once restored.
Are your steel helmets from the WWII era?
Yes. For this helmet package, we exclusively use original WWII front-seam steel helmet shells.
Do you use U.S.-style helmets or liners made by other countries?
Absolutely not. This package is built only with authentic U.S.-made helmets and liners. We do not substitute foreign-made components under any circumstances.
What is the condition of your helmet and liner stock?
We take great pride in selecting solid candidates for restoration. While minor cosmetic issues such as rim nicks, hairline cracks, or small punctures may be present due to age and service use, anything structurally unsound is immediately rejected.
