This original M1 helmet liner headband, manufactured by Steinberg Brothers in 1972, is New Old Stock (NOS) and remains in unused condition. These headbands were discovered in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in the early 2000s, still in their original packaging—a rare find from the Vietnam War era.

While these headbands are unissued, they have been stored in bulk for decades. As a result, some may show bundling marks on the leather, and in some cases, the black finish on the spring clips may have chipped. However, they remain structurally sound and fully functional.

Features:

  • Authentic 1972-Dated Issue – Manufactured by Steinberg Brothers, correct for Vietnam War-era M1 helmet liners.
  • Quality Materials – Constructed with cotton webbing, calf leather, and black-painted steel hardware for durability.
  • Adjustable Fit – Features a steel bar buckle, allowing for easy size adjustment.
  • Secure Attachment – Equipped with two toothed and four smooth edge spring clips, all steel and black-painted, ensuring a firm grip inside the liner.
  • NOS Condition – Unissued surplus in excellent shape, with minor bundling marks on leather and occasional chipping on the spring clips.

Sold individually. A great addition for restorations, reenactments, or collectors seeking an original Vietnam War-era replacement headband.
