British Manufactured “Commando Helmet Net”
This was a British manufactured net designed specifically for use with the M-1 helmet. It was made from cotton woven to form a ¾ x ½ inch rectangular pattern that was dyed a dark olive drab green.
British Mk. 2 Helmet Net 1942 to August 1945

A Fresh Coat For A Fresh Start!
After a good cleaning, M-1 helmets of WWII were sent through an automated painting booth where they were painted inside and out with a flat Olive Drab Green.
