FUBAR helmets are back for the first time in several years, and quantities are extremely limited!
These unissued, poorly stored postwar M1 steel pots are free of dents but have severe stress cracks and splits around the rim from prolonged exposure to heat and weather. These are major project helmets. Repairs may require welding, grinding, and filling, which takes more time than our regular restoration process allows. See all four photos for examples of the damage.
Ideal for someone with patience, the right equipment, and a taste for a challenge. As they are, they may suit an extremely rough, field-used impression. A Mitchell, ERDL, or Woodland cover is another option for concealing the damage.
Sold individually, steel pot only. No chinstrap. No cherry-picking. We pull each helmet from the top of the stack until they’re gone. Condition varies, but expect significant cracking on every helmet. If you’ve been waiting for a FUBAR project, here’s your chance!
