Original WWII USMC helmet cover. This is the version with no button holes. Lightly used, in very good to excellent condition. The cover has good color throughout. The color is slightly brighter on the flaps as those are not exposed to the sun when on a helmet. It is not soiled. The left and right side have a hole where the helmet chinstrap passed through. This is a common sight. There is a small hole on the back left side. The postwar EGA stamp, done in black ink, is present on the green and brown side. It is the variation of the stamp without the anchor rope.
These are becoming exceedingly hard to find in good condition. This one, for having been on a helmet, is in exemplary condition. It would make a nice addition to any budding or advanced collection.
