Introducing an original M1 helmet liner from the Vietnam War era, dated 1964 and crafted by Westinghouse using a government-leased mold, as evidenced by the U.S. mark in the crown. Despite its age, the liner body, webbing, and metal components remain remarkably well-preserved. The original exterior paint, prone to flakiness, was period-repainted by brush in an attempt to remedy the issue, adding to its authenticity and serving as a testament to its storied history.
This helmet liner is perfect for any collector, whether just starting out or seasoned, adding authenticity to a helmet build that showcases light field use or enhancing a reenactment impression. Please note that the headband and neckband are not included but can be purchased separately.
Rest assured, the helmet liner depicted in the photos is the exact one we will ship to you.
