M1 helmet liner adjustable headband. Manufactured in 1957 of cotton webbing, calf leather, a steel bar buckle painted black and six toothed spring clips made of steel and also painted black. Condition is used. Webbing has good color and is quite clean. Clips and buckle are in great condition. Leather is soft throughout with one light crackle at the 11 o'clock spring clip. There is a smudge of what might be paint between the two front clips. The leather easily passed our stress test. The stamp is fully legible. A great example showing light use. These are desirable as they still have the unfinished webbing end like WWII and Korean era headbands and are becoming hard to find.
