This is a clone of the WWII St. Clair M1 helmet liner. Carefully built from an original U.S. postwar liner body. We are using our FUBAR liners, choosing the best examples and making the necessary modifications for them to mimic (clone) the look of a St. Clair liner, which are far too scarce to be used in the field.
These fit very well into a WWII M1 steel helmet and look kind of amazing actually! Easily passing the 10 foot rule. Yes! After 20 years, we've finally ventured into the fabulous world of FARB. Care to join us?
To be serious. These are passable, built out very well and we feel they will serve the reenactor who's impression demands an early look.
This version features a fixed leather chinstrap and a head cradle made with the early rayon webbing set with parkerized steel -A- shaped washers. While we do not have the snap in headband, they can easily be found from other vendors. I actually prefer the more common headband as they tend to fit and feel better. The headband and neckband are not included, but can be viewed and added to your cart here if needed.
