Infantry Helmet - Fixed Bail - Complete - Option 2
Our 2nd fixbail option is another strong seller, especially for those who want a liner with very early production features.
The rayon web kit & riveted leather chinstrap are leftover inventory initially used on Hawley paper liners. This leftover stock was used in traditional liners for a few months in 1942, making them quite rare. There are six snaps around the main portion of the web kit that accept a snap-in sweatband. Due to availability, we don't use this sweatband, but use our double-wire headband instead.
This helmet and liner are restored in the same manner as our other options, shipped fully assembled, and built when your order is received. Please allow up to ten (10) business days for our custom build. Plus shipping time.
A word about helmet liners....
- Can I choose the liner manufacturer? No – and we aren’t being mean. We cannot accommodate this request. It's impossible to maintain an adequate stock of ALL liner manufacturers.
- Are all your liners from the WWII era? No. We also use postwar liners which are the same in shape and size as wartime liners.
- Do you use U.S. style liners made by other countries? No! Never!
- What is the condition of your liner stock? We take great pride in choosing what liners we're willing to restore. While minor defects can exist, such as; chips, hairline cracks or small punctures any liner that's too far gone is rejected.
