A word about the helmets and liners we use....
  • Are the helmets you restore Veteran bring backs? No. The helmets we restore are all from the surplus markets. We differentiate collector helmets from surplus.
  • Can I choose the helmet or liner manufacturer? No – and we aren’t being mean. We cannot accommodate this request. It's impossible to maintain an adequate stock of ALL manufacturers.
  • Are all your liners from the WWII era? No. We also use postwar liners which are the same in shape and size as wartime liners.
  • Do you use U.S. style liners made by other countries? No! Never!
  • Are your helmets from WWII? Yes and no. If we are building you a WWII era helmet the answer is YES. If we are building you a helmet from another era, we use a helmet from that era.
  • What is the condition of your helmet and liner stock? We take great pride in choosing what we're willing to restore. While minor defects can exist, remember, we are working with stock that is very old, helmets and liners that are too far gone are rejected or sold as rummage.
